CAMS Intermediate Program

The Intermediate Program of the College of Accounting and Management Sciences has been part of CAMS College since 1997. It is the oldest Private College registered with the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi and Education and Literacy Department, Sindh. CAMS’ qualified and experienced faculty is committed to providing outstanding education as well as inculcating values to ensure the personal development of our students. Our Intermediate students are well prepared to undertake further degree studies in the leading national and international universities.

We are offering the Intermediate Program at Tipu Sultan Girls campus , Clifton campus and PECHS campus

Intermediate classes are held 5 days a week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On Friday, the classes end at 12:30 p.m. The core subjects of Accounting, Economics and Principles of Commerce meet for five periods a week. The remaining subjects meet for three to four periods per week.

There is emphasis given to the students who need extra guidance. Classes for such students are arranged after the regular college timings. In addition, our faculty provides extra classes as they see necessary as the students approach the Intermediate Board Exams.

CAMS offers Intermediate Arts/Humanities at our PECHS Campus along with B.Com, I.Com, BS/BBA and ACCA/CA.

CAMS College admits students on the basis of academics and an interview.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Admission is based on merit, availability of seats and siblings’ reference
  2. Applicants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria in order to be considered for admission to the Program
  3. Provisional admission is given on the basis of class IX results (for Matriculation students) and grade X results (for O’ Level students)
  4. Students must have passed Matriculation (with Minimum 45%) or O’ Level (with minimum 8 subjects including compulsory subjects of English, Urdu, Pakistan Studies and Islamiat) and also meet the merit requirements set out by the College Authorities.

Once admission is approved by the Admission Committee, fee challan is issued. Admission will be confirmed on the deposit of fees and submission of following documents:

Admissions open in March and continue till August. Students can apply online or visit the campus. The decision is made on the basis of class IX results (for Matriculation students) and grade X results (for O’ Level students)

Classes commence after summer vacations, normally from the first Monday of August. The duration of each academic year is 12 months (from August to July).

Results – CAMS’ students have always performed well in the B.I.E.K. exams. Our results for the 2020-2021 examination sessions were 90% with many A+’ and A’ grades.

University Placements – CAMS’ graduates are admitted to reputed universities for higher education. In addition to joining the programs at CAMS (BS/BBA, ACCA-UK and CA-ICAP), they have joined institutes of higher education such as IBA, LUMS, SZABIST, IoBM, University of London and many more national and international universities.

Library

The library consists of a large collection of books concerning various disciplines of business and computer science. Besides providing supplemental reading material for college courses, there are also books of general interest. CAMS subscribes to newspapers, international and national magazines and academic publications and journals.

 

Computer Lab

Students have access to the computer lab, with over 15 workstations, networked with internet connectivity, scanning and laser printing facility. Word processing, database and spreadsheet software are available for students. An IT Supervisor is also available for assistance and guidance. The College cafeteria offers snacks and meals, soft drinks and tea for students and staff.

 

Girls Common Room

A separate Girls Common/Prayer Room with a washroom facility is available.

 

Transport Facility

College Van Private transport contractors provide transport facility to students commuting from various areas of Karachi. At the time of admissions, students needing college transport should enquire from Admin Office about the charges and timings of the college transport.

 

Internships

Work placement internships are an integral part of CCBIT curriculum. The students are required to acquire industry experience during their coursework. Internships during the summer break are mandatory for all students. Part-time students in the evening program are exempted from this requirement.

 

Job Placement Office

CAMS job placement office assists students in obtaining internships and job interviews for CCBIT students and graduates. The job placement office also organizes Recruiters’ Day, inviting recruiters from national and multi-national companies to talk about their companies and speak with our students.
